Why should I use Ishar CareConnect instead of hiring a private caregiver?

Hiring a private caregiver on your own means taking on a lot more than most families expect. You'd be responsible for running background checks, handling payroll taxes, finding backup coverage when they're sick, and carrying the liability if something goes wrong. We take all of that off your plate. Every caregiver we place has been screened through California DOJ and FBI Live Scan fingerprinting, verified for their credentials, and hired directly by us. Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No, and we mean that. You're not locked into anything. Care can be started, adjusted, or stopped based on what your family needs at any given time. We just ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice if a scheduled shift needs to be canceled. Before anything begins, our Care Coordinator will sit down with you for a free consultation to understand your needs and put together a care plan that fits your schedule and your budget.

Will I have the same caregiver every visit?

That's something we care a lot about. We take time to match each client with a caregiver based on their care needs, daily routines, and personality so that the relationship feels natural and consistent. If your regular caregiver is ever unavailable, we'll reach out to you ahead of time and make sure a qualified backup is arranged. Care should never feel uncertain, and we work hard to make sure it doesn't.

What if I need to reach someone outside of business hours?

We understand that questions and concerns don't always come up during the workday. Urgent care matters are always prioritized and you'll have a direct contact number for your Care Coordinator so you're never left searching for someone to call. We make sure you always know exactly who to reach and how.

Are your services only for seniors?

Not at all. While a lot of our clients are older adults who want to stay safely in their own homes, we also support adults with disabilities, people recovering from surgery or a health setback, and anyone who could use a reliable helping hand at home. What can your caregivers help with and what can't they do?

Our caregivers are trained to help with the everyday things that make a big difference: bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, transportation, and simply being a friendly presence. What they are not able to do is provide medical care. That means no injections, wound care, catheter management, or tasks that require a licensed medical professional. We're a non-medical agency and we're upfront about that. If you're ever unsure whether something falls within our scope, just ask us and we'll give you a straight answer.

How much does home care cost?
